Key Benefits

Low-profile 1U rack-mounted design for reduced cost-per-channel

Minimal bandwith required to stream HD content: 1.5 Mbps for HD 720p, 2.5 Mbps for HD 1080i and 3.5 Mbps for HD 1080p. Recommended raw bandwith for broadband connection is at minimal 2 times of the stream required. Ex: 3+ Mbps broadband connection is required to stream HD 720p over the Internet

IMX e4080HD encodes live high definition H.264 video at resolutions of 1080i x 1440, 1280 and 960 pixels

Interfaces to digital AV equipment via the HD-SDI interface

Encoding bitrate can be selected from 1 to 25 Mbps depending on application

Supported frame rates 1080i@25, 29.97 and 30 HZ

Dual Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports provide additional performance and redundancy. Seperate ethernet ports for service streaming and out-of-band management.

Management by front panel with LCD/Keypad, embedded Web server configuration and SNMP (MIB v2C) with remote SNMP supervisor

Work Seamlessly with IMX Server Series - IMX e4080HD video encoders are optimized to support MatrixStream's MatrixCast Streaming protocol over the Internet. This means IPTV providers can stream full screen high definition videos over the Internet. MatrixStream MatrixCast Streaming currently supports H.264 video codec only.

IMX e4080 HD Video Encoder Deployment Diagram

The following is an example of how the IMX e4080HD IPTV HD video encoders are deployed in a live service provider environment. IMX e4080HD video encoders are taking live satellite feeds and encodes the video into HD 1080i H.264 format. Once videos are encoded, streams are sent to IMX X1i MatrixCast Streaming server for live streaming across the Internet. All the interactions between all the different servers are being managed by IMX M2200 middleware server.
